My tasks
See the tasks a manager or an administrator gave you, and find the ones that are late.
What it's for
My tasks lists the work you are given. A task can come from an administrator, or from your manager (a manager can split their own task and give you a part of it). You see what to do, when it is due and how far you are.
Before you start
- You're signed in as a Chatter.
- Someone gave you a task. If you have none, ask an administrator or your manager to give you a task for the test.
Steps
Open My tasks
In the menu on the left, click Management → My tasks. The title is My tasks. Under it: "Work assigned to you, soonest due first."
Read the four boxes
At the top you see four numbers:
- Open tasks: your tasks that are not finished.
- Overdue: open tasks whose due date has passed. The box turns orange when it is more than 0.
- Blocked: open tasks you marked Blocked.
- Done this week: tasks you finished since Monday, for example "Since Mon, Oct 20".
Filter the list (optional)
Click the list that shows Open. Pick Overdue, To do, In progress, Blocked, Done, Cancelled or All tasks. Open is picked when you arrive.
Read a task card
Each task is a card. It can show:
- the title and the status (To do, In progress, Blocked, Done or Cancelled),
- "Part of" and another title, when it is a part of your manager's task,
- the first lines of the instructions,
- a creator account,
- the due date, for example "Due Wed, Oct 22",
- a red Overdue label, a High priority label,
- "Attachment" with a paperclip, when there is a file.
Finished tasks look lighter.
Open a task
Click a card. A panel opens on the right. See Work on a task.
What you should see
- Only the tasks given to you.
- Open tasks first, the soonest due date first. Tasks without a due date come after.
- No New task button, no tabs, and no list to choose a person.
If you have no tasks: No tasks assigned to you and "Tasks you're given appear here." If the filter hides everything: Nothing matches this filter.

Good to know
Overdue is a label. If your agency has switched on task reminders, you also get an email on the morning a task is due, and one more the next morning if it's still open. Finish it, or tell the person who gave it to you.
The app doesn't send an email when you get a task yet. Check this page.
