Preview as another role
See the menu of another role, or exactly what one VA, scheduler or creator sees, without signing in as them.
What it's for
Preview lets an Administrator look at the app through another role's eyes: which menu a Manager or a Chatter gets, or exactly what one social media VA, scheduler or creator sees on their own page. It helps you check a role after changing it on Roles, or answer "what does Jane see?" without asking for her account. Nothing can be saved from a preview.
Before you start
- You're signed in as an Administrator.
- To preview one VA, scheduler or creator, that person exists (a creator needs a creator login, see Creator logins).
Steps
Open the preview
Preview has no menu item. Type its address after the app's address in your browser:

Read a Manager or Chatter preview
The page Manager preview (or Chatter preview) says "What this role sees. Preview is read-only: nothing can be saved." It shows one card per menu group that role has today, listing its menu items.
Read a VA, scheduler or creator preview
- Social media VA preview ("A VA's posting dashboard exactly as they see it."): click a VA's name in the row of buttons at the top to see their posting page.
- Scheduler preview ("A scheduler's dashboard exactly as they see it."): click a scheduler's name in the row of buttons at the top to see their schedule.
- Creator preview ("A creator's portal home and to-do list exactly as they see them."): click a creator login's name in the row of buttons at the top to see their accounts and My tasks.
Each says "Read-only: nothing can be saved."
What you should see
- The Manager and Chatter previews list the same menu items as that role's guide (for example a Manager has My analytics, Requests, My requests, Calendar, My tasks, Strikes, Clients and Knowledge).
- If there is nobody to preview: There are no social media VAs yet., There are no schedulers yet. or There are no creator logins yet.

Known issue
In the Manager and Chatter previews, the links open the real pages with your own Administrator access, not as that role, so you can still save there. My analytics opens Page not found for you, because Administrators don't have it. The box Administrator preview at the top says so. To see exactly what a Manager or Chatter sees, sign in with their test account.
