Getting started
Start here if you use the app as a Social Media VA.
What you do
You post the creators' content on social media. An administrator gives you a list of accounts to post on, each with a daily target. During your shift you post, then you write down how many posts you made on each account. At the end of your shift you send a short report, and you flag any account that has a problem (a ban, a login that stopped working, a post that was removed).
In the app you have four pages: My posting for your shift, My requests for time off and anything else you need, Calendar for agency dates, and Knowledge for the agency's written instructions.
Sign in
There is no password. Each time, you ask for a code.
Open the sign-in page
Go to the app. If you are not signed in, you see the heading Sign in and the line "Enter your email and we'll give you a one-time code." On a wide screen the form is on the right half, and the left half shows the agency's logo and a short silent video of the app (Pause videos stops it). On a phone you see the logo above the form.
Ask for a code
Type your work email in Email and click Continue. The button reads Sending code… while it works. For testing, use the test account for this role — the owner shares these privately.
Type the 6-digit code
In the real app, the code comes by email, and the page says "We sent a 6-digit code to" your email. In the test app, no email is sent: the code appears on the page in a box called Your sign-in code, with the note "Test app: no email is sent, so the code is shown here. It expires in 10 minutes." Click Open the email to see, in a new tab, the email you would have received.
Type it in 6-digit code and click Sign in.
Rules for the code:
- It is 6 digits and works for 10 minutes.
- It works once.
- After 5 wrong tries the code stops working, even if the sixth try is right. Ask for a new one.
- Asking for a new code cancels the old one. Only the newest code works.
- To start again, click Use a different email or get a new code.
If the app says No active account uses that email. Ask an administrator for access., your login does not exist yet or it was switched off. If it says That code is incorrect or has expired. Request a new one., ask for a new code.
Under the card, New here? Read the guides opens these guides, so you can read them before you even sign in.
Where you land
After signing in you land on My posting. That is your home page. When you open the app's address, or click Back to Heights Analytics on an error screen, you come back here.
Your menu
The menu is on the left. You see four items in two groups.
- Operations → My posting — your accounts, your posts, what you earned, and your end-of-shift report. See Your shift, step by step.
- Operations → My requests — ask for time off, a schedule change, equipment or anything else, and follow the answer. See My requests.
- Operations → Calendar — agency deadlines, content drops, payouts and meetings, plus your own approved time off. See Calendar.
- Resources → Knowledge — the SOPs, training and policies shared with your role. See Knowledge.
You can fold the menu away with the button at the top left (or Ctrl+B, Cmd+B on a Mac). Folded, it shows only icons. On a phone the same button slides the menu in.
Your name, theme and signing out
At the bottom left there is a button with your initials, your name and your role. Click it to open:
- your name and email;
- Theme: Light, Dark or System (the default follows your device);
- Help & guides, which opens your own guide;
- Sign out, which asks you to confirm, then takes you back to the sign-in page.
Your pay
Your role does not see its pay in the app. My posting shows what your posts earned — Earned today and Earned this week, with the note Paid through weekly payroll — but there is no payslip or hours page for you. For anything about your pay, ask an administrator. You can also send them a Payroll question from My requests.
The per-post rate that turns your posts into money is set by an administrator on your employee profile. If it is missing, the page warns you and your earnings stay at $0.00, but your posts are still saved.
If a page is missing
Each role has its own set of pages, and an administrator can change what a role may open. If a page from this guide is missing from your menu, or opening it shows Page not found, an administrator may have changed your role. Ask them.
How to use this guide to test
Each page of this guide follows the same shape: what the page is for, what you need first, the steps, what you should see, and a Test checklist. Work through the pages in order, do exactly what the steps say, then tick the checklist. The boxes are only for you while you read — nothing is saved. The Test plan walks through the whole role in one go.
