Calendar
Read the agency's dates, and find your own approved time off.
What it's for
The Calendar is the agency's shared month view: deadlines, content drops, payouts, meetings and time off in one place. You can read it. You cannot add or change anything — that is for administrators, managers and schedulers.
Before you start
- You're signed in as a Social Media VA.
- To see your own time off here, an administrator or manager must have approved a Time off request of yours. See My requests.
Steps
Open the Calendar
In the menu, click Operations → Calendar. The current month opens, with the month name and the note Times in ET beside it.
Move around
Use the two arrow buttons to go back or forward a month, and Today to come back to this month.
Look at one day
Click a day in the grid. The list on the right then shows only that day, with the full date as its heading. Click Show upcoming to go back to the next 30 days.
Open an entry
Click an entry, in the grid or in the list. A panel opens on the right of the page with its title, the full date and time (or All day), its kind and any description.
What you should see
- The grid runs Monday to Sunday. A busy day shows three entries and then +2 more; click the day to see them all.
- Under the grid, a colour key lists the kinds: Deadline, Content drop, Payout, Leave, Meeting, Other, and last Read-only date from another page.
- On the right, Upcoming lists the next 30 days grouped by day, with · Today on today. With nothing planned it says Nothing in the next 30 days; for a single day you picked, Nothing on this day.
- The filter at the top right starts on All types and can show one kind at a time.
Dates that come from your own work
Most entries are events somebody wrote in the calendar. Some are borrowed from other pages: they have a dashed border and a small icon, and their panel says Read-only. Edit it on its own page.
For your role there is exactly one kind: your approved time off. It appears as a dashed chip reading your name and the title of the request, across every day it covers, and its panel has a link that opens the request. You see nobody else's time off.
Your posting work does not create calendar dates. Posts, reports and account problems live on My posting only.
Test checklist
Good to know
All dates and times are Eastern Time (ET), whatever time zone you are in.
Your approved time off is under Time off in the filter, not under Leave (that is for agency leave events).
