My requests
Ask for time off, a schedule change, equipment or anything else, and follow the answer.
What it's for
My requests is how you ask the team for something and keep track of the answer. Time off, a change to your shifts, equipment, a question about your pay, or anything else. Administrators and managers read these requests and decide.
Before you start
- You're signed in as a Social Media VA.
- For time off: know your first and last day. Time off must start tomorrow or later.
Steps
Open the page
In the menu, click Operations → My requests. Your requests are listed newest first. With none yet, the page says No requests yet and Ask for time off, a schedule change, equipment or anything else here.
Start a request
Click New request. A panel opens on the right of the page, titled New request, with the line Admins and managers review it. You can edit or cancel it until it is decided.
Choose the type
Type starts on Time off. The others are Schedule change, Equipment, Payroll question and Other.
Fill it in
Give it a short Title. Time off and Schedule change also ask for First day (ET) and Last day (ET); tick Part of a day only if you need just a few Hours. Use Details to explain. Details are optional, except for Other.
Send it
Click Submit request at the bottom of the panel (or Cancel to close it). The request's own page opens, with the status Submitted.
Follow it
Come back to My requests and click the title to reopen it. The status, the reviewer's note and the History card tell you where it stands.
What you should see
The list has four columns: Request (your title and the type), When, Status and Submitted (the time you sent it, in ET). Undated types show — under When; part days show the hours, for example Oct 25, 2026 · 4 h.
The filter above the list starts on All requests, and also offers Open, Approved, Denied and Cancelled. Open means not decided yet.
On a request's own page you see the type and the status badge, From you with the time you sent it, When, your details, and a History card listing everything that happened with who did it and when. Once somebody decides, a Decision note appears with their answer.
The five statuses
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Submitted | Sent, nobody has picked it up yet. |
| In review | A reviewer has claimed it and is looking at it. |
| Approved | Agreed. |
| Denied | Refused. The reviewer must write why, and you read it in Decision note. |
| Cancelled | You took it back. |
Approved, Denied and Cancelled are final.
Changing or taking back a request
While a request is Submitted or In review, its page has two buttons:
- Edit opens the same form again, in a panel on the right called Edit request. Save changes gives you the message Request updated. and adds Edited the request. to the history.
- Cancel request asks Cancel this request? first. Keep it closes the question; Cancel request confirms, and you get Request cancelled.
Once it is decided, both buttons are gone.
Rules
- Time off must start at least one day ahead: Request time off at least one day ahead.
- A Schedule change may start up to 30 days in the past: further back gives That is more than 30 days ago.
- The last day must be on or after the first day, and a request cannot cover more than a year.
- Other needs details: Describe what you need.
- A title is 3 to 120 characters.
- Approving is advisory. It does not change your pay, your shifts or your targets — somebody still has to act on it. Approved Time off does show on the Calendar.
- You cannot see or decide anyone else's request, and nobody can decide their own.

Emails about your request
The reviewers get an email when you send a request, and you get one when it is approved or declined (unless your agency switched these emails off). The status and the History card on the request's page always show where it stands.
If two people change the same request at once, you may see This request changed while you were looking at it. Reload and try again. Reload the page and redo your change.
