The Requests page
Every custom video, video call and physical item sold to fans, plus the team's staff requests, in one place.
What it's for
When a chatter sells a fan something made just for them (a custom video, a video call or a physical item), they record it in the app as a content request. As a Manager you see all of them, for every creator. You accept or deny new ones, choose who works on them, and mark them Sent once the fan has them, for the creators you work on. An administrator takes care of the rest: the progress, the payments and the refunds.
The same page has a Staff requests tab for the team's time off and other requests. See Review staff requests.
The life of a content request
- Someone records the sale. A chatter, a manager or an administrator fills in the form. The request starts as Submitted. See Submit a content request.
- Someone decides. You (or another manager, or an administrator) accept or deny it. If the creator has a login for the creator portal, they can approve or decline it there too. Whoever decides first wins. See Approve or decline a content request.
- Someone works on it. You can pick the team member who looks after it. See Choose who works on a request.
- Someone sends it. The chatter or manager who sends the video to the fan marks it Sent. See Mark a custom sent.
- An administrator takes care of the rest. They move it to In progress and Ready if needed, record what the fan paid and when a locked message was unlocked, and handle refunds and cancellations.
What the statuses mean
| Status | In plain words |
|---|---|
| Submitted | New. Waiting for a decision from a manager, an administrator or the creator. |
| Approved | Accepted: the creator will make it. |
| In progress | The creator is making it. |
| Ready | Made, not yet sent to the fan. |
| Sent | Sent to the fan. Final (only an administrator can undo it). |
| Declined | Turned down by the agency or by the creator. Final (only an administrator can reopen it). |
| Cancelled | Stopped by an administrator. Final. |
Under the status, the list may also say Waiting for creator (the creator can still decide in their portal), Creator approved or Creator declined.
Before you start
- You're signed in as a Manager.
- No requests yet? Each tab shows an empty message ("Nothing waiting for review", "No requests yet" or "You have not submitted any requests") with "Custom videos, video calls and physical items sold to fans appear here." Ask a chatter to send one, or send one yourself.
Steps
Open the Requests page
In the menu on the left, click Operations → Requests. The title is Requests, with the line "Custom content sold to fans and staff requests waiting for a decision." The New request button is at the top right.
Pick a tab
- Needs review (opens first): requests still Submitted, waiting for a decision.
- All: every request, for every creator.
- Mine: the ones you sent yourself or that are assigned to you.
- To send: Approved, In progress and Ready requests for the creators assigned to you (and the ones assigned to you), soonest due first. Each row has a Mark sent button.
- Staff requests: time off and other team requests (a different kind of request).
Filter by status (optional)
On All and Mine, use the list that shows All statuses to show one status: Submitted, Approved, In progress, Ready, Sent, Declined or Cancelled. Needs review and To send have no status filter.
Read the list
Newest requests come first. Each row shows:
- Request: a link such as "Custom video for Rob (demo_rob_t)" (the name they go by, then the username), with the duration and the notes for the creator under it.
- Creator: whose account sold it.
- Submitted by: who recorded it (not shown on Mine).
- Due: the due date, for example "Oct 25, 2026", with a red Overdue label if it is late.
- Price: the tip, or for a locked message "$900.00 tip + $150.00 locked = $1,050.00".
- Status.
Open a request
Click the link in the Request column. The request page shows:
- The title (type, fan and creator), the status, and Overdue if it is late.
- A Mark sent button, when you can mark it sent.
- A line with the creator, who submitted it and when, for example "submitted by Jane Example on Oct 21, 3:04 PM ET".
- Price (tip, plus the locked price and the total if there is one), Tip paid (amount and payment status of the tip), Locked message (if there is one: Not sent yet, Sent, waiting for unlock or Unlocked), Due (date, call time for video calls, and time zone), Date tipped, Duration, Notes for the creator, Assignee (or Unassigned), Sent (when and by whom) and Fan: the username links to the saved fan (Saved fans), with Open on OnlyFans if there is a link.
- What the fan asked for, and the creator's decision if they have a portal login.
- Reference files: up to 5 files, each with Download.
- The boxes you can use: Approve or decline (only while Submitted) and Assignee (until the request is Sent, Declined or Cancelled).
- History on the right: every change, oldest first, with who made it and when (ET).
Add files to your own request (optional)
On a request you sent, the Reference files box has a file picker ("Add files (… more allowed)") and Upload. Only PNG, JPEG, WebP or PDF, up to 4 MB each, and up to 5 files per request. You can do this until the request is Sent, Declined or Cancelled.
What you should see
- Needs review lists only Submitted requests. Once someone accepts or denies one, it leaves this tab.
- All lists requests from every chatter, for every creator, not only your own.
- The address keeps the tab and the filter, so you can bookmark a view or send it to someone.
- Tip paid shows Unpaid, Partially paid, Paid or Refunded. It is only about the tip: a locked message that isn't unlocked yet doesn't make it Partially paid.
Test checklist
Good to know
Who can do what (by default)
- Manager (you): sends requests for your own creators, sees every request, accepts, denies, chooses the assignee and marks requests Sent for your own creators.
- Administrator: everything, for every creator: moving a request on, payments, refunds, cancelling, reopening a declined request, undoing Sent, recording an unlocked message and removing files.
- Chatter: sends requests for their own creators, sees their own, and sees and marks Sent the approved requests of the creators they chat for.
Nobody gets an email yet
The app is built to email the submitter and the assignee when a request changes, but no email provider is connected yet, so nothing is sent. Check the request's History, and tell the chatter yourself.
Up to 300 of the newest requests are listed on each tab. Use the status filter to find older ones.
You are testing on real data
The test app shares its data with the live app, and a content request can't be deleted. Only work on TEST requests: ones you or the test Chatter sent with a fan username that starts with TEST. Never accept, deny or assign a real request while testing. When you're done, deny the test Chatter's open TEST requests with the note "TEST – done". Ask an administrator to deny or cancel your own.
Who sees the file
As the Reference files box says, the files are visible to the sender, the request reviewers and the creator of that account, in their own portal.
