Getting started
Start here if you use the app as a Manager. Sign in, find your way around, and test the app.
What a Manager does
You look after the chatters and keep the work moving. You decide on the custom content chatters sell, answer the team's requests, plan dates on the calendar, and split your work into tasks for chatters, schedulers and creators.
In this app, you can:
- see your own sales, messages, hours and pay,
- send a content request when a fan buys custom content from one of your creators,
- accept or deny the content requests the team sends, and choose who works on them,
- approve or deny the team's time off and other staff requests,
- ask for time off or anything else you need yourself,
- add, change and delete events on the shared calendar,
- work on your tasks, give parts of them to chatters and schedulers, and give creators tasks,
- read the strike record and the client list,
- read the agency's guides and rules.
Some things stay with an administrator: payroll, pay rates, employees and logins, payments and refunds on content requests, and creating tasks for the team. You only see your own numbers and your own pay.
You don't have a password. Each time, you get a one-time code.
Open the sign-in page
Open the app. You see the heading Sign in and the line "Enter your email and we'll give you a one-time code." On a wide screen the form is on the right half, and the left half shows the agency's logo and a short silent video of the app (Pause videos stops it). On a phone you see the logo above the form.
Type your email
Type your work email in the Email box. Click Continue.
Get your code
In the real app, the code comes by email, and the page says "We sent a 6-digit code to" your email. In the test app, no email is sent: the code appears on the page in a box called Your sign-in code, with the note "Test app: no email is sent, so the code is shown here. It expires in 10 minutes." Click Open the email to see, in a new tab, the email you would have received.
Type the code
Type the 6 digits in the 6-digit code box. Click Sign in.
Rules for the code:
- It works for 10 minutes.
- It works only once.
- After 5 wrong tries, the code stops working. Ask for a new one.
- When you ask for a new code, the old code stops working. Only the newest code works.
- To get a new code, click Use a different email or get a new code, then Continue.
- After you sign in, you stay signed in on that device for up to 30 days.
If something goes wrong, a red message shows under the box:
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| Enter a valid email. | The email is not complete. Check it. |
| No active account uses that email. Ask an administrator for access. | This email can't sign in. Ask an administrator. |
| Too many codes requested. Wait 15 minutes and try again. | You asked for too many codes. Wait 15 minutes. |
| Enter the 6-digit code. | The code must be exactly 6 digits. |
| That code is incorrect or has expired. Request a new one. | Wrong, old or already used code. Get a new one. |
| Too many attempts. Wait 15 minutes and request a new code. | Too many tries. Wait 15 minutes. |
Your browser may show its own small warning first, for example if the email has no @ or the code is not 6 digits. Then nothing is sent: fix the box and try again.
The first page you see
After you sign in, you land on My analytics: your own numbers and your pay. See My analytics.
The menu
The menu is on the left. It has five groups. Here is every item a Manager sees:
Analytics
- My analytics: your sales, messages and hours (My analytics), your sales by month and your monthly bonus (My sales), and your weekly pay (Your pay).
People
- Sales credits: credit chatters with sales Infloww gave to nobody (Sales credits).
- Monthly sales: each chatter's gross, net and bonus for a month (Monthly sales).
Operations
- Requests: the custom content sold to fans, and the team's staff requests (The Requests page, Submit a content request, Approve or decline a content request, Choose who works on a request, Review staff requests).
- My requests: your own time off and other things you need (Ask for time off, Other staff requests, Follow your staff requests).
- Roster: who works which creator page in each shift, the gaps, and everyone's availability (Roster).
- My shifts: your own availability and shifts (My shifts).
- Calendar: agency dates, the team's time off and open content requests (Calendar). You can also add and change events (Calendar events).
Management
- My tasks: the work an administrator gives you, and what you hand on (My tasks, Work on a task, Give part of a task to someone, Give a creator a task, Follow what you delegated).
- Strikes: the record of employee mistakes, read only (Strikes).
- Clients: the agency's clients, read only (Clients).
Resources
- Knowledge: guides, training and rules for your role (Knowledge).
- Model sheet: every model's prices, and answers to copy into the chat (Model sheet).
On a phone, the menu is hidden. Tap the menu button at the top left to open it.
Your menu at the bottom left
At the bottom of the menu you see your initials, your name and your role (Manager). Click it to open your menu:
- Theme: choose Light, Dark or System (System follows your device). A tick shows your choice.
- Help & guides: opens your own guide (this one).
- Sign out: asks you to confirm, then signs you out and goes back to the sign-in page.
You can also open these guides from the sign-in page: click Read the guides under the form.
If a page is missing
An administrator can change what the Manager role can do (on People → Roles). This guide describes the Manager role as it comes. If a page in this guide is missing from your menu, an administrator may have changed your role. Ask them.
If you open a page you can't use, you see Page not found and "This page doesn't exist or you don't have access to it." Click Back to Heights Analytics to go back to your first page.
Your accounts
A Manager's employee profile is linked to Hubstaff (the time tracker) and to Infloww (the chat tool). An administrator sets both links. Without the Infloww link, My analytics has no sales numbers and you can't send content requests.
Emails
The app emails people when something changes for them: a request is approved or declined, someone gets a task, a staff request waits for a reviewer. Your agency chooses which of these emails go out, so the app is always the place to check: the status, the list and the History show what happened.
How to use this guide to test the app
- Sign in with the test account for the Manager role (the owner shares these privately).
- Follow the pages in the menu order, or use the Test plan: it walks through everything in one list.
- On each page, do the Steps, then check What you should see.
- Tick the boxes in the Test checklist as you go. The ticks are not saved.
- If the screen is different from the guide (a label, a number, a message), write down the page, what you did and what you saw. Send it to the owner.
Many checks need a second person: a Chatter who sends you requests, an Administrator who gives you a task, a Creator who gets your task. Use the test accounts for those roles too. Each page says who has to create the data first.
You are testing on real data
The test app shares its data with the live app. A request you decide, an event you add or a task you give is real at once, for everyone, and requests can't be deleted. So:
- Only act on things you or the other test accounts made for the test. Start their names with TEST (for example a fan username "TEST fan", a task "TEST task", an event "TEST event").
- Never accept, deny, assign or edit a real request, event or task.
- Tidy up at the end: deny your TEST content requests, cancel your TEST staff requests, delete your TEST events, and finish your TEST tasks (or ask an administrator to cancel them).
