Monthly sales
Each chatter's month and bonus, close a month to set the bonuses, and void a bonus.
What it's for
People → Monthly sales works like the bonus sheet: one line per chatter with their Gross, Net, the Bonus tier reached and its Status, and the total of the bonuses at the bottom. Click a chatter to see their year by day and month.
You also close each month here. Closing sets every chatter's bonus for good; the bonuses are then paid through payroll.
Before you start
- You're signed in as an Administrator.
- To close a month, it must be the 5th of the next month or later (New York time), so late reversals land first. October can be closed from November 5.
Steps
Open the page
In the menu on the left, click People → Monthly sales. The title is Monthly sales. Last month shows first, because it is the one waiting to be closed.
Pick the month
Use the Previous month and Next month arrows, or pick a month in Jump to month. The button Back to September 2026 (for example) returns to the first month shown. You can't pick a month after this one.
Read the month
Three boxes show the month's Gross, Net and Projected bonuses (or Bonuses once the month is closed). In the table, each chatter with a commission rate has a line:
- Gross and Net for the month. Net is after the platform's fee and is the base of the bonus.
- Bonus: the bonus reached, with the tier under it (for example $750 and "$30,000 tier"), or a dash (—) when no tier is reached.
- Status: Projected, Pending, Paid, Void or No bonus (see below).
- Late reversals $x: sales undone after the month was closed. They don't change the bonus.
See one chatter's year
Click a chatter's name. Their grid opens below the table: days 1 to 31 down, months across, with Total (gross), Net, approved days off, and their Monthly bonuses.
Close the month
Click Close October (for example), at the top right. Before the 5th the button is greyed out and says "Can be closed from November 5, so late reversals land first." The pop-up asks Close October 2026? and shows the total. Click Close October.
Void a bonus (if needed)
On a closed month, click Void on the chatter's line. Type a Reason and click Void bonus.
What each status means

| Projected | The month is not closed. The bonus follows the net so far and can still change. |
| Pending | The month is closed and the bonus is set. It goes on the chatter's first Pending payroll week after the close. |
| Paid | The payroll week with the bonus is paid. |
| Void | An administrator cancelled the bonus. |
| No bonus | The month is closed and the chatter's net reached no tier. |
What you should see
- After closing: a message such as "2026-10 closed: 3 bonuses recorded." The month shows October 2026 is closed with the close date, and every bonus shows Pending.
- When payroll is next generated, each bonus appears on the chatter's first Pending week after the close, as "Bonus (October) $750" (Payroll).
- After voiding: the message Bonus voided., the status Void, and the amount comes off the Pending payroll line.
- A month with no chatter sales shows No credited sales this month.
- A month from before sales were counted on net shows No net basis for the month: no bonus.
Test checklist
Good to know
- Only staff with a commission rate in the month get a bonus. The bonus is not reduced for someone who started or left mid-month.
- A closed month can't be reopened. Sales undone after the close show as Late reversals and don't claw back the bonus; add a deduction on the payroll line by hand if needed.
- Managers see this page too, but can't close a month or void a bonus.
