Ship an item
See where to send a physical item a fan bought, while it is waiting to be packed.
What it's for
When a fan buys a physical item from you (for example worn clothing or a signed photo), you pack it and post it yourself. While the item is waiting to be packed, the request shows you the fan's shipping address so you can write it on the parcel. Use the agency's return address on the parcel, never your own: the request shows it too. Once the item is sent, the fan's address is hidden again.
Before you start
- You're signed in as a Creator.
- There is an approved Physical item request for one of your accounts.
Steps
Open the request
Click Operations → Content requests, then the card of the item. Below the request there is a Shipping card with the badge To pack, the item and its size, and:
- Ship to: the fan's first name and city, for example "Sam · Austin, TX, US";
- Return address on the parcel: the agency's address to write as the sender.
If the card says "The agency has not added the fan's address yet.", wait for the agency to add it.
Show the address
Click Show address. The fan's full shipping address appears, with "Your view of this address was logged.": the agency can see that you looked. Click Hide address when you're done.
Post it and tell the agency
Post the parcel and give the tracking number to the agency in your usual chat. The agency records the carrier and the tracking number and marks the item sent.
What you should see
- While the item is To pack: Show address on the Shipping card.
- Once the agency marks it sent: the badge Shipped, the carrier and tracking number, and no Show address button any more. You still see the item and the first name and city.
Test checklist
Good to know
You can't type the tracking number or change the address yourself. If the address looks wrong, tell the agency before you post the item.
