Getting started
Start here if you use the app as a Creator. How to sign in and find your way around your portal.
What it's for
You're a creator working with the agency. The Creator portal is your own private space in the agency's app, Heights Analytics. In it you can:
- see the accounts the agency runs for you;
- approve or decline custom content that fans bought from you;
- follow the to-do list the agency gives you;
- see what your accounts earned, the agency's share and your part;
- see your numbers and your wins;
- see the dates that matter for you on a calendar.
You only ever see your own accounts. Nobody else's numbers are shown to you, and other creators can't see yours.
Before you start
- The agency has given your email address access to the app, as a Creator.
- The agency has linked your accounts (one to three) to your login. Until they do, your portal is empty (see Your portal is empty below).
- Testing the app? Sign in with the test account for this role (the owner shares these privately).
Steps
Open the sign-in page
Open the app's address the agency gave you. You see the heading Sign in and the line "Enter your email and we'll give you a one-time code." On a wide screen the form is on the right half, and the left half shows the agency's logo and a short silent video of the app (Pause videos stops it). On a phone you see the logo above the form. Use the email the agency registered for you.
New here? Under the form, the Read the guides link opens these guides.
Type your email
In the Email box, type your email address and click Continue. The button reads Sending code… for a moment.
Get your 6-digit code
In the real app, the code comes by email, and the page says "We sent a 6-digit code to" your email. In the test app, no email is sent: the code appears on the page in a box called Your sign-in code, with the note "Test app: no email is sent, so the code is shown here. It expires in 10 minutes." Click Open the email to see, in a new tab, the email you would have received.
Type the code and sign in
Type the 6 digits in the 6-digit code box. Under it, the page reminds you who you are signing in as ("Signing in as" your email). Click Sign in (it reads Signing in… while it works).
Land on My analytics
You arrive on My analytics, your portal's home page, with your accounts' numbers. At the top, a note tells you when a request or a task is waiting for you. See Your numbers.
The rules for sign-in codes
- A code works for 10 minutes, and only once.
- After 5 wrong tries, that code stops working, even if the next try is right. Ask for a new one.
- Asking for a new code cancels the old one: only the newest code works. To get a new code, click Use a different email or get a new code, then Continue again.
- There is no password, ever.
- Once you're in, you stay signed in on that browser for up to 30 days.
If sign-in goes wrong
| What the page says | What it means |
|---|---|
| Enter a valid email. | The email has a typo or is incomplete. |
| No active account uses that email. Ask an administrator for access. | The agency hasn't added this email yet, or has removed it. Ask the agency. |
| Too many codes requested. Wait 15 minutes and try again. | More than 5 codes were asked for this email in 15 minutes. |
| Enter the 6-digit code. | The code must be exactly 6 digits. |
| That code is incorrect or has expired. Request a new one. | The code is wrong, too old, already used, replaced by a newer one, or had 5 wrong tries. |
| Too many attempts. Wait 15 minutes and request a new code. | More than 15 codes were typed for this email in 15 minutes. |
Your portal is empty
Your login only shows the accounts an administrator at the agency linked to it. If nothing is linked yet, My accounts says No creator accounts yet — "Your agency hasn't linked your accounts to this login. Ask them to link them, then reload this page."
That's not an error on your side: ask the agency to link your account, then reload the page. Until then, Content requests, My earnings, My analytics and My calendar show the same message. Your to-do list (My tasks) works even before your accounts are linked.
A tour of the menu
The menu on the left has four groups, with six pages:
| Group | Menu item | What you do there |
|---|---|---|
| Analytics | My analytics | Your home page: your accounts' sales, fans and messages, with your wins. |
| Analytics | My earnings | What your accounts earned, the agency's share and your part. |
| Operations | Content requests | Custom videos, video calls and items fans bought. You approve or decline new ones. |
| Operations | My calendar | Dates for your accounts and dates the agency shares with creators. Read-only. |
| Management | My tasks | Your to-do list from the agency. You start and finish each task. |
| Accounts | My accounts | Your accounts with their last 30 days, and what's waiting for you. Click one for its own page. |
| Accounts | My prices | What chatters quote to fans for your content. You can suggest changes. |
On a phone, the menu is folded away: tap the menu button at the top left to open it. It closes by itself when you tap a page.
Light or dark mode, help and signing out
At the bottom of the menu you see a square with your initials, your name and Creator. Click it to open your menu:
- Theme: pick Light, Dark or System (follows your device; this is the default). A tick shows the one in use.
- Help & guides: opens your own guide (this one).
- Sign out: asks you to confirm, then signs you out and takes you back to the sign-in page.
Test checklist
Good to know
If a page is missing
The Creator role always comes with the six pages above; nobody can add or remove pages from it. If a page is missing, or you see other menu items, an administrator may have changed your login's role. Ask the agency.
A page you can't open
If you open a page that isn't for you (for example a staff page), you see Page not found — "This page doesn't exist or you don't have access to it." Click Back to Heights Analytics to go back to My accounts.
Using this guide to test the app
Each page of this guide is also a test script. Follow the Steps, compare the screen with What you should see, and tick the Test checklist as you go (the ticks aren't saved). Some checks need the agency side to set something up first; each page says what. For the whole role in one go, use the Test plan.
