Content requests
Follow every custom video, video call and physical item sold to fans, from the sale until it is sent, and the saved fans of each page.
What it's for
When a chatter sells a fan something made just for them (a custom video, a video call or a physical item), they record it in the app as a content request. Someone then accepts or denies it, the creator makes it, a chatter sends it to the fan and the agency keeps track of the payment. Operations → Requests lists all of them.
The same page also has a Staff requests tab for time off and other team requests. See Staff requests.
The life of a request
- Someone records the sale. An administrator, a manager or a chatter fills in the form. The request starts as Submitted. See Submit a content request.
- Someone decides. An administrator or a manager accepts or denies it. If the creator has a login for the creator portal, they can approve or decline it there too. Whoever decides first wins. See Approve or decline a request.
- The work moves on. An administrator picks who looks after it and moves it to In progress and Ready, or cancels it. See Assign and move a request on.
- It is sent. The chatter or manager who works on that page clicks Mark sent once the fan has it (an administrator can too). The status becomes Sent. See the same page.
- The money is tracked. An administrator records what the fan has paid, refunds, and when a locked message was unlocked. See Payments and refunds.
- Files. A request can carry up to 5 reference files. See Request files.
What the statuses mean
| Status | In plain words |
|---|---|
| Submitted | New. Waiting for a decision from an administrator, a manager or the creator. |
| Approved | Accepted: the creator will make it. |
| In progress | The creator is making it. |
| Ready | Made, not yet sent to the fan. It can go back to In progress. |
| Sent | Sent to the fan. Final, but an administrator can still change the payment, and undo Sent if it was a mistake. |
| Declined | Turned down by the agency or by the creator. Final, but an administrator can reopen it. |
| Cancelled | Stopped by an administrator. Final. |
Under the status, the list may also say Waiting for creator (the creator can still decide in their portal), Creator approved or Creator declined.
Before you start
- You're signed in as an Administrator.
- No requests yet? Each tab shows an empty message ("Nothing waiting for review", "No requests yet" or "You have not submitted any requests") with "Custom videos, video calls and physical items sold to fans appear here." To send says Nothing to send and "Approved requests for the pages you work on appear here until they are sent." Submit one first.
Steps
Open the Requests page
In the menu on the left, click Operations → Requests. The title is Requests, with the line "Custom content sold to fans and staff requests waiting for a decision." The New request button is at the top right.
Pick a tab
- Needs review (opens first): requests still Submitted, waiting for a decision.
- All: every request.
- Mine: the ones you submitted yourself or that are assigned to you.
- To send: every Approved, In progress or Ready request, the soonest due first. Each row has a Mark sent button.
- Staff requests: time off and other team requests (a different kind of request).
Filter by status
On All and Mine, use the drop-down to show All statuses or one status: Submitted, Approved, In progress, Ready, Sent, Declined or Cancelled.
Read the list
Newest requests come first. Each row shows:
- Request: a link such as "Custom video for Rob (demo_rob_t)", with the duration and the notes for the creator under it. Without a name, it is "Custom video for demo_rob_t".
- Creator: whose account sold it.
- Submitted by: who recorded it (not shown on Mine).
- Due: the due date, for example "Oct 25, 2026", with a red Overdue badge if it is late.
- Price: the tip, or "tip + locked = total" when there is a locked price, for example "$900.00 tip + $150.00 locked = $1,050.00".
- Status.
Open a request
Click the link in the Request column. The request page shows:
- The title (type and creator), the status and Overdue if it is late.
- A line with the creator, who submitted it and when, for example "submitted by Jane Example on Oct 21, 3:04 PM ET".
- Price, Tip paid (amount and payment status), Locked message (when there is a locked price), Due (date, call time for video calls, and time zone), Date tipped, Duration and Notes for the creator (when given), Assignee (or "Unassigned"), Sent (when and by whom, once it is sent) and Fan: the fan's username, which opens their saved fan page, and Open on OnlyFans if there is a link.
- What the fan asked for, and the creator's decision if they have a portal login.
- The Mark sent button under the title, while the request can be sent.
- The cards you can use: Reference files, Approve or decline, Reopen, Update (admin), Locked message unlocked and Undo Sent, each only when it applies.
- History on the right: every change, oldest first, with who made it and when (Eastern Time).
Open a saved fan
On a request, click the fan's username under Fan. The fan's page shows:
- Requests and Total tipped: how many requests this fan has on this page and what they paid. Declined and cancelled requests don't count. A refunded tip doesn't count. A locked price counts once it is unlocked.
- Past requests: every request for this fan on this page, with Date tipped, Due, Price and Status.
- Fan: What to call them, Profile link and Notes (up to 500 characters). Change them and click Save fan. The username can't change.
- Archive (admin): click Archive fan, then Archive fan again in the window "Archive demo_rob_t?" (or Keep). The fan is no longer offered in the request form; their past requests stay.
What you should see
- Needs review lists only Submitted requests. Once you accept or deny one, it leaves this tab.
- The address keeps the tab and the filter, so you can bookmark a view or send it to someone.
- To send lists only Approved, In progress and Ready requests. Once a request is Sent, it leaves this tab.
Test checklist
Good to know
Who gets an email
The submitter gets an email when a request is approved, declined, reopened or delivered, and the assignee when a request is assigned to them. Nobody is emailed about their own action. Switch these off in Email settings. In the test app they land in the outbox instead; the request's History shows every change either way.
Who can do what (by default)
- Administrator: everything, for every creator.
- Manager: submits for their own creators, sees every request, accepts, denies and assigns, and marks requests sent for the creators they work on. No payments, refunds, cancelling, undoing Sent or removing files.
- Chatter: submits for their own creators, sees their own requests, and sees and marks sent the approved requests of the creators they work on (To send).
An administrator can change this on People → Roles.
Customs from the old sheet
The customs that were on the customs sheet before the app were brought in once by the owner. The ones marked sent on the sheet show as Sent, the others as Approved. They have no creator decision in History.
What a saved fan holds
Only what the customs sheet held: the username, the name they go by, the profile link and short notes. Never an email, a phone number or an address. Saved fans can't be downloaded.
Up to 300 of the newest requests are listed on each tab. Use the status filter to find older ones.
