Calendar events
Add, change and delete calendar events, link them to a creator, and share them with creators.
What it's for
Events are the dates people add to the calendar by hand: a deadline, a content drop, a payout date, someone's leave, a meeting, or anything else. As an administrator you can add, change and delete any event. You can also show an event to one creator, or to every creator, in their creator portal.
Before you start
- You're signed in as an Administrator.
Steps
Start a new event
Click Operations → Calendar, then New event. A panel called New event opens on the right of the page: "Dates and times are Eastern Time (ET)." If you clicked a day first, the event starts on that day; otherwise today (or the first day of the month you are looking at).
Fill it in
- Title: what it is, up to 200 characters.
- Type: Deadline (picked first), Content drop, Payout, Leave, Meeting or Other.
- All day (ticked first): pick the Start date (ET) and End date (ET). For one day, keep both the same.
- Untick All day for an event at a set time: pick Starts at (ET) (9:00 is filled in). An event has a start time only, no end time.
- Description: anything else, up to 2,000 characters.
- Creator account: No creator (picked first) or one creator. "That creator sees the event in their portal."
- Visible to creators: tick it to show the event to every creator, "when no creator account is picked, e.g. an agency-wide deadline or payout." An event with a Creator account only ever shows to that account's creator, even when this is ticked.
Save it
Click Add event.
Change an event
Click the event in the month or the list. Its details open in a panel on the right of the page. In the panel, click Edit: the panel shows Edit event with the same fields. Click Save changes.
Delete an event
Click the event, then Delete in the panel. A pop-up asks "Delete" followed by the event's title, and warns "It disappears from everyone's calendar. This can't be undone." Click Delete event to confirm (it says Deleting… while it works), or Cancel.
What you should see
- Messages at the bottom right: Event added., Event updated. or Event deleted.
- The event appears on its days in the colour of its type. A timed event shows its time, for example "2:30 PM ET"; an all-day event shows "All day"; a longer one shows its dates, for example "Oct 22 – Oct 24".
- The event's panel shows Visible to creators for an event shared with every creator, and "Account:" with the creator's name for an event linked to one creator.

Good to know
Content drops
A content drop is the date new content goes live. By default Schedulers can add content drops, so they can plan them without being able to change the rest of the calendar.
If two people change the same event at once, the second one sees "This event changed while you were looking at it. Reload and try again." Reload the page and make the change again.
