Posting
Follow every Social Media VA's posting work and deal with the account problems they report.
What it's for
Operations → Posting is the posting board for all Social Media VAs. It shows the problems VAs report on their social accounts (bans, login trouble and so on), the accounts they post on, and how many posts each VA made this week. To add accounts and give them to VAs, see Social accounts and VAs.
Before you start
- You're signed in as an Administrator.
- For the board to show anything, at least one person with the Social Media VA role has a login (see Access), has been given accounts, and has logged posts or reported an issue on their own My posting page. Administrators don't have a My posting page: a VA does this part.
- No data yet? The Issues tab says No open issues, the Accounts tab says No accounts yet and the VAs tab says No social media VAs yet.
Steps
Open the board
In the menu on the left, click Operations → Posting. The title is Posting, with the line "Social accounts across platforms, VA assignments and targets, and reported issues."
Read the four number cards
- Open issues: problems not resolved yet. The card turns orange when there are any.
- Urgent issues: open issues a VA marked High (urgent). The hint says "Bans and logins first".
- Active accounts: accounts marked active, with a count per platform, for example "2 Instagram · 1 TikTok · 0 YouTube · 0 Facebook".
- Posts this week: every post all VAs logged since Monday, for example "Since Oct 19 (ET)".
Look at the reported issues
The Issues tab opens first. A red number on the tab shows how many issues are open. When a VA reports an urgent issue, you also get an email titled Urgent: followed by the issue and the account (switch it off in Email settings).
Use the two drop-downs to narrow the list:
- Status: Open (shown first), Resolved or All.
- Category: All categories, Ban, Restriction, Shadowban, Content removed, Login issue, Platform bug, Monetisation or Other.
Each row shows the Day, the Account (the platform's logo, the handle and the platform name), the VA who reported it, the Issue (its category, with "· urgent" added for urgent ones) and the Details the VA wrote. Urgent issues are listed first.
Resolve an issue
Once the problem is fixed, click Resolve on its row. A pop-up window called Resolve issue opens, for example "Ban on @jane.example".
Type what you did in How was it resolved? and click Resolve.
Check each VA's week
Open the VAs tab. For each VA you see:
- VA: their name, with "Inactive" under it if their login is switched off.
- Accounts: the accounts they post on, each with its platform's logo, or "None".
- Daily target: their targets added up across all their accounts.
- Posts this week: posts logged since Monday.
- Per-post rate: the link Set in profile opens their employee profile, where you set what they earn per post (see Pay rules). "No employee profile" means they don't have one yet.
What you should see
- After resolving, a message at the bottom right says Issue resolved. The issue leaves the Open list. Under Resolved it shows "Resolved:" followed by your note.
- The VA sees your note on their own page, as "Admin:" followed by your note.
- If someone else resolved it a moment before you, the message says Already resolved.
Test checklist
Good to know
Known issue: nobody is told about urgent issues
An urgent issue a VA reports is marked urgent on this board, but no message or email is sent yet. You only find out by checking this board.
End-of-shift notes
VAs write a short end-of-shift report each day. This board doesn't show those notes. To read them, type
/preview/social-va in the address bar and click the VA's name: you see their page exactly as they do,
read-only. See Preview other roles.
Closed days
VAs can log posts for this week and last week (Monday to Sunday, Eastern Time), never for a future day. Older days are closed, and the VA sees "That day is closed."
Known issue
There is no screen yet where an administrator can correct a closed day.
How VA earnings work
A VA earns their posts times their per-post rate for that day. Without a rate the posts are still counted, but their earnings show $0.00. Example: 12 posts at $2.00 per post is $24.00.
