End-of-shift report
Send a short note about how the shift went, and read your last four weeks.
What it's for
At the end of every shift you leave a short note for the team: how it went, anything unusual, anything they should know. One report per day. The Recent submissions card underneath keeps the record of your posts, your earnings and your reports for the last four weeks.
Before you start
- You're signed in as a Social Media VA and you are on Operations → My posting.
- You are on the day you worked, and that day is still open.
- Your posts for the day are saved (see Log your posts).
Steps
Open the End-of-shift report card
It sits under the Assigned accounts card, on the left. Until you send one, it shows an orange badge: Report pending.
Write your notes
Click in the Notes box. The grey hint inside it asks How did the shift go? Anything the team should know? Keep it short. Up to 1,000 characters.
Send it
Click Submit report. A green message says End-of-shift report saved.
Change it if you need to
The button now reads Update report. Edit the notes and click it again. There is still only one report for that day, with the new time.
What you should see
- The line under End-of-shift report changes from the Report pending badge to Submitted 6:12 PM ET, with the time you sent it.
- In Recent submissions, the day's row now shows your notes in the Report column, and the week row counts one more report.
Recent submissions
The card is titled Recent submissions, with the line By week (Monday–Sunday, ET). It holds four weeks, newest first. Each week row shows:
- Week of Mon, Oct 20, with (this week) on the current one;
- the posts you made against what was needed, for example 12 / 15 posts. Only the current week shows what was needed; earlier weeks show the posts alone, for example 14 posts, because the app doesn't keep old targets;
- what the week earned;
- how many reports you sent, for example 5 reports;
- a red badge counting your open account problems, when you have any.
Click a week to open or close it. The newest week is open when the page loads. Inside, a table lists the days, newest first, with Day, Posts, Earned and Report. The Report column shows your notes, or Submitted when you sent a report without notes, or — when you sent none, followed by the number of problems you reported that day. Clicking a day in the Day column opens that day on the page above.
Test checklist
Good to know
The report and the posts are saved separately. Sending a report does not save your numbers, and saving your numbers does not send a report. Do both.
Known issue: nobody reads these notes in the app yet
The administrators' posting board shows the account problems you report, but not the notes from your report. Anything the team must act on belongs in an account issue, or tell an administrator directly. No email is sent for a report.
