Calendar
Your dates on the calendar
The read-only dates the calendar takes from your own work: scheduled content, task due dates and time off.
What it's for
Besides the agency's events, the calendar shows dates from your own work, so you see everything in one place. These dates are read-only: you change them on their own page, not on the calendar.
Before you start
- You're signed in as a Scheduler.
- For a full test, you have:
- a scheduling task you marked scheduled, and one with an issue (see Mark a task scheduled);
- an open task with a due date in My tasks (a manager or an administrator gives it to you);
- an approved Time off request (see Send a request; an administrator or a manager approves it).
Steps
Open the calendar
Click Operations → Calendar.
Spot your dates
Your dates have a dashed outline and a small icon. There are three kinds:
- Scheduled content: your scheduling tasks that are Scheduled or have an Issue, for example Feed post · @jane.example, at their planned time in ET. Tasks with an issue have a red dashed outline.
- Task due: your open tasks from My tasks that have a due date, on that day.
- Time off: your approved time off, across all its days, with your name and the request's title.
Open one
Click it. A panel opens on the right of the page and says Read-only. Edit it on its own page. A button takes you to that page:
- Open in scheduling (scheduled content): opens that task on My schedule.
- Open the task (task due): opens that task on My tasks.
- Open the request (time off): opens your request.
A scheduling task with an issue also shows an Issue badge.
What you should see
- Only your own dates. You don't see other schedulers' content or your teammates' time off.
- Pending scheduling tasks don't show on the calendar. A task appears once you mark it scheduled or report an issue, and disappears if you undo it.
- Tasks that are Done or Cancelled in My tasks don't show.
- A time off request shows only once it's Approved.
Test checklist
Good to know
- The calendar shows times in Eastern Time (ET). My schedule shows each task in its own time zone, so the same task can show a different time on the two pages.
- Open in scheduling opens My schedule on the All view, filtered to that account and status, with the task open. Clear the filters to see the rest of your queue again.
