See your tasks
Find the work a manager or an administrator gave you, beyond your scheduling queue.
What it's for
My tasks holds work that isn't a scheduling task: for example "Update the caption bank" or "Send me next week's content plan". An administrator gives you tasks from their Tasks board. A manager can also give you part of one of their own tasks (a subtask).
Before you start
- You're signed in as a Scheduler.
- At least one task is assigned to you. Ask an administrator (on Management → Tasks) or a manager (as a subtask on their My tasks) to give you one, ideally with a due date, a file attached and High priority.
Steps
Open My tasks
In the menu on the left, click Management → My tasks. The title is My tasks, with the line Work assigned to you, soonest due first.
Read the four cards
- Open tasks: tasks that are not done or cancelled.
- Overdue: open tasks whose due date has passed.
- Blocked: open tasks with the status Blocked.
- Done this week: tasks you finished since Monday (the small text says, for example, Since Mon, Oct 20).
Pick which tasks to see
The list shows Open tasks by default. Open the status list to pick Overdue, To do, In progress, Blocked, Done, Cancelled or All tasks.
Read a task card
Each card shows the title and its status (To do, In progress, Blocked, Done or Cancelled). It may also show Part of and a task name (when a manager gave you part of their task), the first lines of the instructions, Due and the date, a red Overdue badge, High priority, and Attachment with a paperclip when a file is attached. Done and cancelled tasks look faded.
Open a task
Click a card. A panel opens with the full task. See Update a task.
What you should see
- Only tasks given to you.
- With no tasks at all: No tasks assigned to you and Tasks you're given appear here.
- When the status you picked has no tasks: Nothing matches this filter.
Test checklist
Good to know
- "Overdue" means the due date is before today (Eastern Time) and the task is still open. Nothing changes automatically: the task just gets the badge.
- Your scheduling work is not here: it's on My schedule.
