Mark a task scheduled
Tell the agency that a piece of content is scheduled on the creator's account.
What it's for
Once you've scheduled the content on the creator's account, mark the task in the app. This keeps your Today progress right and shows the administrators that the work is done.
Before you start
- You're signed in as a Scheduler.
- You have a task with the status Pending (or Issue: see Resolve an issue).
- You've scheduled the content on the creator's account, using the brief (see Open a task brief).
Steps
There is a quick way and a full way.
Quick way: click Complete
On My schedule, click Complete on the task's row. The button shows Saving… for a moment. The app records the current time as the time you scheduled it.
Full way: open the task
Click the task's account name to open its panel. Below the details you see a short form.
Check the time you scheduled it
Actual scheduled time is filled in with the current time. The time zone in brackets is the task's own, for example Actual scheduled time (America/New_York). Change it if you scheduled the content at another time.
Add a note if needed
Type in Note (optional) if the administrators should know something, for example "Posted 10 minutes late". Up to 500 characters.
Save
Click Mark scheduled. Or click Save & next to save and go straight to the next open task in your current view. Save & next only shows when there is another open task.
What you should see
- A message: Marked as scheduled.
- The task's status is Scheduled, its row looks faded and the Complete button is gone.
- If the task is for today, the Today card goes up by one, for example from 0 of 2 done to 1 of 2 done.
- If you wrote a note, Notes and history gets a line with the ET time, your name and Note: followed by your text. Without a note, no line is added.
- The task now shows on the Calendar as Scheduled content (see Your dates on the calendar).
- If the task was already marked (for example you clicked twice, or did it in another tab), you see Already marked as scheduled. and nothing changes.
Test checklist
Good to know
- You can mark a task for a later day early. But you can only undo it on the task's own day (see Undo a completion), so check before you click.
- If an administrator changes a task after you marked it, it stays Scheduled and the app doesn't tell you. The administrator is asked to tell you directly.
- Known issue: the actual scheduled time you enter is saved, but the app doesn't show it anywhere afterwards yet.
