Read your queue
What the My schedule page shows, from today's progress to the tasks that need attention.
What it's for
My schedule is your work list. It shows every scheduling task an administrator gave you, grouped by day, with today's progress at the top. It's the first page you see after you sign in.
Before you start
- You're signed in as a Scheduler.
- At least one scheduling task is assigned to you. An administrator creates them on Operations → Scheduling (see the Administrator guide). For a good test, ask for one task for today, one for tomorrow, one for yesterday, and one whose expiry time has already passed.
Steps
Open My schedule
In the menu on the left, click Operations → My schedule. The page title is My schedule, with the line What needs to be scheduled, by day and account.
Read the four cards at the top
- Today: how many of today's tasks you've marked scheduled, for example 2 of 5 done. A green bar under the card fills up as you go. The small text says Scheduled vs tasks due today, or for example 1 open issue today when one of today's tasks has an issue.
- Overdue: tasks from earlier days that are still waiting (Pending from earlier days).
- Issues open: all your tasks with an issue, whatever their day.
- Upcoming (7 days): tasks planned for the next 7 days after today.
Cancelled tasks never count in these cards.
Read the day groups
By default the page shows the Today view (see Find a task for the other views). Tasks are grouped:
- Needs attention comes first: tasks from earlier days that are still Pending, and issues from earlier days.
- Then today, for example Today · Wednesday, Oct 22.
- Other days follow by date, for example Thursday, Oct 23 (in the Week and All views). In the Today view, a task from a later day shows only if it has an issue, under its own date.
Next to each day you see its progress, for example 2 of 3 done · 1 issue.
Read a task row
Each row shows:
- the account and the kind of content, for example @jane.example · Feed post;
- a red Expired badge or an Overdue badge when it applies (see Task statuses);
- the planned time in the task's own time zone, for example Wed, Oct 22 · 9:00 PM GMT+8, then the creator, the audience and the price (the price only when it isn't free);
- the status: Pending, Scheduled, Issue or Cancelled;
- a Complete button on Pending tasks.
Tasks you've finished look faded. Inside a day, issues come first, then pending tasks, then scheduled ones, each by time.
What you should see
- Only your own tasks. Another scheduler's tasks never appear here.
- With no tasks at all, the page shows No tasks assigned yet and Your queue is empty. New scheduling tasks from an admin will appear here. (no cards).
Test checklist
Good to know
A task's day is its date in the task's own time zone. "Today" is the agency's day in Eastern Time (ET). For tasks in a time zone far from ET, near midnight a task can land on a different day than you expect.
