Test plan
One checklist that walks through the whole Scheduler role, in order.
What it's for
Follow this list from top to bottom to test everything a Scheduler can do, and what a Scheduler must not be able to do. Each line links to the page with the details.
Before you start
- You have the Scheduler test account (the owner shares these privately).
- Someone with the Administrator test account can create work for you as you go: scheduling tasks on Operations → Scheduling, a task on Management → Tasks, a knowledge document, and the review of your requests (see the Administrator guide). A Manager account can also review requests and give you a subtask.
- Before step 2, ask the administrator for these scheduling tasks, all assigned to you, on at least two
accounts:
- two for today (one with a caption, a price, an expiry time and a content folder link);
- one for yesterday, with an expiry time that has already passed;
- one for tomorrow;
- one more, on any day, that the administrator then cancels.
- If your queue already has other tasks, the counts below will be higher: check that each number goes up or down as described, not the exact number.
1. Sign in and the menu
See Getting started.
2. Your queue
See Read your queue and Find a task.
3. Schedule your work
See Open a task brief, Mark a task scheduled and Undo a completion.
4. Issues
See Report an issue and Resolve an issue.
5. When someone else changes the task
6. Calendar
See Read the calendar, Your dates on the calendar, Add a content drop and Change or delete a content drop.
7. My tasks

8. My requests

9. Knowledge

10. What a Scheduler must not reach
Type each address after the app's address (for example /scheduling). Each one must show Page not
found.
